The News features TCF on International Day for Street Children

Karachi Staff and volunteers of The Citizens Foundation (TCF) got together at various traffic signals in the city on Friday to raise awareness of the importance of sending street children to school. Traffic was intercepted for distributing flyers and awareness material on the organisation and the education crisis facing the country, said a press release issued by the TCF. These activities were undertaken to observe International Day for Street Children, which is marked on April 12. According to a report, about 25 million Pakistani children are not enrolled in school out of a total of school-going population of about 45 million. The TCF CEO said: “Pakistan is a country with great talent; our young population is our strength. We can’t be wasting these intelligent minds on streets.”
