    Description

    Region Academic Leadership
    • Responsible and accountable for the entire academic leadership and improvement of a region
    • Engender a culture of integrity, ownership & continuous improvement. Including cooperation and respect within and beyond the region
    • Ensure quality of education through effective implementation of educational policies, procedures & initiatives in line with TCF norms, including support for improvement and feedback to staff

    Quality and Development of AEMs
    • Empower AEMs to take responsibility for the quality of education in their areas. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability
    • Provide regular, effective performance feedback to the AEMs, which also allows them to develop and enhance their personnel skills

    Quality of Schools
    • Develop high motivation and aspirations for all areas so they attain the highest possible levels of improvement and achievement (through close monitoring of the SIP and whole school index)
    • Responsible for overall strengthening of region Principal cohort to improve Principal Quality Index.

    Strengthen Region
    • Plan, organize and oversee the delivery of quality education of all areas in her region under her supervision
    • Ensure all strategies developed clearly link to student outcome improvement (through improved assessment, EE and board results) and monitor continuous improvement in results

    Relationship Management
    • Maintain communication with other REMs through HOPE to ensure a strong collaborative working environment, seeks feedback as well as shares best practice to support overall region development

    Education

    Master’s Degree

    Experience

    At least 6+ years relevant work experience in areas of teaching, teacher-training, leadership and management
