Fahim Crosses the Finish Line to Support TCF’s Mission!

  January 27, 2017

Fahim Ahmed, a banker by profession and a resident of Bahrain, recently participated in the Ironman Challenge 70.3: a triathlon combining a 1.9km open water swim, a 90km bike run and finally a 21.1km half marathon run, all to be completed within 8 hours. Successfully completing the challenging task, Fahim dedicated his victory to The Citizen Foundation’s mission of educating the underserved and marginalised across Pakistan.

Leading up to his achievement, Fahim actively rallied his network of friends and family and raised over Rs. 1 Million in a span of less than 4 weeks. Utilising TCF’s online peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising platform, Fahim gathered 30 like-minded individuals who came together and raised the funds in support of 3 classrooms at a TCF school in Shah Faisal Colony, Karachi.

TCF’s global network of donors, supporters and volunteers remain committed to furthering the Foundation’s cause of social empowerment through Education. TCF’s peer to peer fundraising option enables them to draw on their networks, increase their reach, and raise funds more efficiently. Through their passion and power to galvanise support, Ahmed and others like him give impetus to TCF’s efforts to eradicate the darkness of illiteracy. Be part of our global movement for social change!
