  • Develop a curriculum framework drawing upon international best practices in EFL instruction. All subsequent curriculum development efforts will be anchored in this document.
  • Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment of English language instruction at TCF to evaluate the current syllabus vis-à-vis the curriculum framework; this would entail observation of classrooms, focus group sessions with students and teachers and seeking feedback from experienced educators as external evaluators.
  • Develop a set of quality, engaging, student-centric III-VIII resources for English language instruction, drawing upon proven English language instructional approaches in EFL/ESL instruction from international contexts and best practices from the local context
  • Work closely with the Graphic designers in determining an overarching theme to the books including the development of original characters, scenarios, narratives and stories
  • Design and develop high quality e-learning content to improve teacher content knowledge
  • Research innovative modes of instructional delivery and pedagogical practices to transfer concepts to different types of learners
  • Maintain a strong connect with the intended users of the resources: students and teachers
  • Test sample lessons in real-time with students and use feedback from this exercise for improvement of content before roll out to schools
  • Develop a mode of assessment of curricular resources and instruments for evaluation that will inform future improvements in the course-pack

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of English language instruction approaches, EFL in particular
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to plan and organize activities within strict timelines
  • Ability to read and critically analyze data and situations
  • Ability to research and collate information
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office
  • Strong advisor/partnering skills to work effectively with designers and program developers.
  • Passion to stay current on educational content and teaching methods.


Bachelor’s degree (preferably English Language, Literacy or Linguistics)
English Teaching certifications like TEFL, TESOL are preferred.
