Programme Evaluation & Research
In 2018, TCF established a new Program Evaluation and Research (PER) Department. The initial objective of establishing the PER department was broadly to promote evidence-based decision-making within the organization so that it could better realize Vision 2030. Since its initiation, the PER department has taken on a multifaceted role in the organization. The department’s two streams, namely the Data Analytics and Evaluation and Research streams, have collaborated with various departments to analyze existing datasets, conduct secondary research, and design and carry out evaluation studies that aim to gauge the effectiveness of implementation and the overall impact of the organization’s programs.
Evaluation & Research
In the last two years, the department has carried out analyses of various datasets for the Human Resource, Assessments, and Flagship Program Design departments and has also undertaken evaluations of programs such as Technology for Learning, the Digital Literacy Program, the Early Years Redesign Program, and Uraan, amongst others.
In the coming weeks and months, we will be using this space to tell you more about TCF’s various programs. In particular, we will be focusing on the philosophy underpinning these programs, the steps that the PER department is taking to evaluate them, and the challenges that arise during implementation and evaluation. Stay tuned for interviews with program teams, data visualizations, and exciting research updates!
