To commemorate the World Literacy Day this year, Movenpick hotel, under their Shine CSR program, has partnered with The Citizens Foundation (TCF) to handpick bright TCF students of secondary level and walk them through the hospitality industry. Experts from the Movenpick hotel team talked to the students about what it’s like to work in the industry and the kind of education required to step into the field.

Recognising TCF’s unwavering commitment to educate and empower the less privileged, Amara Ashraf, Manager Marketing & Communications, Movenpick said: ‘We chose to partner with TCF because they have a proven track record of providing underprivileged kids a chance to access quality education for a very little fee. TCF students are really talented and act as true agents of positive change by fighting the odds and joining the mainstream workforce. Since hospitality is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, we want to give these students a chance to know what the field is like and how they can join it.’
“We are grateful to Movenpick Hotel for arranging this seminar for our students. There’s no doubt that sessions like these expand the horizon of students and help them understand the different career options they have to choose from. We equip our students with the confidence and knowledge to follow their passion and realize their dreams. TCF alumni has proved time and again that a little bit of encouragement goes a long way,” expressed Zia Abbas, VP, TCF.
Movenpick hotel will continue to hold these seminars with other batches of TCF students and also provide interested students with the relevant guidance to avail employment opportunities with the Movenpick Hotel, Pakistan.
