Beyond the Classroom: TCF Summer Camp 2026 Brings Learning, Creativity and Joy to Thousands of Children Across Pakistan

  June 29, 2026

The Citizens Foundation (TCF) has successfully concluded its annual Summer Camp 2026, an immersive, on-field programme that empowers young students through creative extracurricular activities. Held from 4th June to 17th June 2026, the programme brought together more than 1800 selected volunteers and 13000 students from across Pakistan and beyond.

TCF Summer Camp was a volunteer-led, fun and interactive programme designed to encourage activity-based learning. A range of engaging activities were conducted to help students improve their English speaking skills and build confidence through theatre, sports, arts and crafts, storytelling, and games. Organised for TCF students of Grades 3, 4, and 5, the camp ran for two weeks at selected TCF schools during the summer break.

This year, 1800+ volunteers, aged between 15 and 24 years, were selected for the Summer Camp 2026. Volunteers came not only from across Pakistan, but also from countries including Australia, USA, UAE, and Korea to name a few.

A total of 21650 students signed up for the programme, and with a 60% Show-Up Rate (SUR), approximately 13000 students actively participated, experiencing an environment of creativity, interaction, and learning beyond the classroom.

The camp was conducted in 252 school units across major cities:

  • Karachi: 134 school units
  • Lahore: 60 school units
  • Faisalabad: 24 school units
  • Rawalpindi/Islamabad: 17 school units
  • Sheikhupura: 6 school units
  • Khanewal: 5 school units
  • Muzaffar Garh: 6 school units

For volunteers, Summer Camp is a unique opportunity to become part of the TCF family. Through their contribution, they enable TCF students to learn in a different and inspiring setting while gaining valuable experiences, leadership skills, and exposure themselves. An overwhelming majority of previous volunteers have found Summer Camp to be a profoundly meaningful experience, with many returning for multiple years or continuing to support TCF in other capacities.

Sharing their thoughts, a returning volunteer supervisor remarked:

“I keep coming back to TCF Summer Camp because of the incredible energy and love of the students. Watching them grow in confidence, express themselves freely, and enjoy learning in new ways makes this experience truly special.”

“TCF Summer Camp is more than just a holiday programme; it is a celebration of learning, creativity, and the power of young people coming together to make a difference,” said a TCF spokesperson. “Every year, we witness volunteers and students build meaningful connections that leave a lasting impact on entire communities.”
